Nanjing Polytechnic Institute (Nanjing Polytechnic Institute), located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is a full-time college of higher learning organized by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and directly administered by the Provincial Department of Education. In 2007, it became one of the first 10 Demonstration higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province. In May 2014, it was recognized as a national backbone higher vocational college. Nanjing Vocational College of Science and Technology was founded in 1958. Its predecessor, Nanjing Yongli Chemical Engineering College, is a factory school of Yongli.
