Liaoning University Of Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, is the key technology and platform research construction unit of clinical trials of new Chinese medicine, and the national clinical research base of Chinese Medicine. It is a university commissioned by the "Silk Road" Chinese Government Scholarship Project and a recipient of the Confucius Institute Scholarship. It has been selected into the national High-level University public Graduate Program, the Excellent Doctor (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Education Training Program of the Ministry of Education, and the key construction university of Liaoning First-class University. Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1958, when the name was Liaoning College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It was approved by the Liaoning Provincial Committee, and was established by the merger of Liaoning Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Training School (1955) and Liaoning Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (1956). In 2000, Liaoning Health Staff Medical College was incorporated into the university. In 2006, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the University was renamed Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2013, with the approval of Liaoning Province, the school added the name of Liaoning Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The main campus is located in Shenyang, and the two branch campuses are located in Dalian and Benxi, covering a total area of more than 1000 mu. It has 18 colleges offering 27 undergraduate programs.
