Changzhou University (Changzhou University), referred to as "Changda", is located in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. A full-time undergraduate institution, it is a model university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in the country, a national intellectual property pilot demonstration university, a Chinese education base of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and a B-level university for the construction of a high-level university in Jiangsu. The school was founded in 1978, formerly known as Wuxi Branch and Changzhou Branch of Nanjing Institute of Chemical Technology. Approved by the State Council in 1981, the school was named Jiangsu Institute of Chemical Technology; in 1992, it became a subordinate institution managed by China Petrochemical Corporation, and was renamed Jiangsu Institute of Petrochemical Technology; in 2002, it was renamed Jiangsu Institute of Technology; in 2010, it was renamed Changzhou University; In 2020, the school will become a university jointly established by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and the Changzhou Municipal People's Government. As of July 2022, the school has two campuses, Science and Education City and West Taihu Lake. The campus covers an area of more than 2,000 acres, and the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment exceeds 500 million yuan.
