Liaoning University (LiaoningUniversity), referred to as "Liaoning University", is located in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. The talent education and training plan, the national high-level university public postgraduate project, the national college student innovation and entrepreneurship training plan, the national model university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, and the national college student cultural quality education base are members of the China Pilot Free Trade Zone Research Institute Alliance. Liaoning University originated from a specialized business school established by the Northeast People's Government in Shenyang in November 1948. It is the first specialized business university established by the Communist Party of China. In 1953, the Northeast Commercial College merged into the Northeast Institute of Finance and Economics. In 1958, some departments of Northeast University of Finance and Economics and Shenyang Teachers College merged with Shenyang Russian College to form Liaoning University. Comrade Zhu De wrote the name of the school himself. As of December 2022, the school has three campuses in Chongshan, Shenyang, Puhe, and Wusheng, Liaoyang, covering an area of 2,222 acres, with a building area of 650,000 square meters and a collection of 3.66 million volumes (pieces) of literature; it has 31 colleges , 69 research institutes, 78 undergraduate majors; 8 post-doctoral mobile stations, 12 first-level discipline doctorate authorization points, 29 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 24 professional master's degree authorization points; there are faculty members There are 2,551 students, including 35,451 students of various types, including 18,135 undergraduates (255 with a second degree), 7,869 postgraduates, and 949 doctoral students.
